You guys have a little more time before we lock this shot. Reblog it now, share Squaresville, and become immortalized an episode.Do you want your name on the Zelda and Esther’s school marquee? Have your name in an episode of Squaresville FOREVER by reblogging this photo, subscribing to us on youtube, and liking the show on facebook. Doing so will make you eligible to have your name in this shot in episode 3. We’ll pick as many names as there’s room for, so tell your friends. And stay tuned on facebook, as we’ll be voting on the high school motto later this week.

Frame of the day: What are Percy and Zelda playing at?
Frame of the day: Enlow Edition. Joe sent an assembly cut of the pilot last night. I’ve watched it a couple thousand times already. #FrameOfTheDay #Fotd (Taken with instagram)
Melancholic, internet-stars-turned-bonafide-headliners Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit lead a troupe of Harry Potter Cos-players into the woods to dance and fish for suitcases. Perfect for Squaresville, I’d say. #MusicMonday
A little ditty by The Ascetic Junkies, who generously let us use a track from their album One Shoe Over the Cuckoos Nest, on our trailer.
Joe’s Frame of the Day is back! Follow our facebook for semi-regular* updates from the post-production epicenter. What sequence is Joe cutting this evening? What witty thing will he say to mislead people about the contents of our show? Why isn’t he done cutting the show yet?
*Alternately, if Joe isn’t posting a FOTD, he’s probably (OK, definitely) at a show. Check his Instagram for the proof (and sweet pics)!
Shannon Lorance, enraged. This eppy is intense!
Check out more of our behind the scenes photos on our facebook. There’s like, a million.
My First Earthquake may be breaking up, but they’re still rocking new videos. This one is pretty slick. Maybe SatansPearlHorses can help out on that Sci Fi episode of Squaresville we’ve all been dreaming of*.
* No joke guys, your work was dope. E-mail me.
OH BOY, you guys.
So a lot has happened since we last spoke, yeah? We’re fully funded on Kickstarter, we’re wrapped on the first half of production and we’re in post. Time flies when you’re neglecting your director’s blog, doesn’t it?
One thing at a time.
Thoughts on Kickstarter.
There’s been plenty said about the amazing nature of crowd sourcing, but it’s worth repeating. So many people showed their support for a show that most people haven’t even seen yet. It was a wild experience. Everyday my phone would buzz, and another person would have shown their support. So thanks, everyone. Really. We’re putting that money to good use. We’ll do you proud.
Production:
Things were on a larger scale than the first batch of minisodes, and I knew that going into things (heck, I wrote the scripts), but it wasn’t actually an honest-to-goodness reality to me till I found myself shouting to extras through a bullhorn from the top of a building. As Jon said, I was drunk on power immediately.

In all seriousness, I was suddenly dumbstruck. How did this thing move from three kids hanging out in a bedroom to a world filled with extras, teachers, and our camera on a friggen golf cart? Don’t worry, we have plenty of small, intimate stuff too, but wowza, what a weekend!
Post:
Now that we’re in to post, start looking forward to more frames-of-the-day, plenty of behind the scenes photos, concept artwork, and a teaser or two towards the new season. It’s going to be so much fun, guys. I can’t wait to show everyone what’s up.
Finally, I wanted to make sure everyone realizes the minisodes are coming down soon. Like we mentioned on Kickstarter, “they’re only up for a limited time”. They’ll be back soon, I promise. It’s just that they were designed to help us raise our fundraising goals, and they have. They’ll be re-released to a new, larger audience when the season actually launches. It’s not “goodbye”, it’s just, “see you later”. So watch ‘em again real quick if you’re gonna miss them (and I know you are), and rest assured they’ll be back, and they’ll be surrounded by feature episodes, new minisodes, and more blog posts than you’ll know what to do with.
Hello, Hello Kitty mirror case.
